Whether you’re hiking, rafting, riding or snowshoeing, your gear doesn’t need to be expensive – it just needs to work. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s terrain is wild, but most adventures don’t require anything extreme. Here’s a simple guide to help you pack based on your activity, the season, and the pace you’re aiming for.
General Essentials (for almost every tour)
- Comfortable, breathable layers
- Sturdy shoes (hiking or trail shoes)
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)
- Water bottle
- Snacks (optional – some tours include meals)
- Lightweight rain jacket (weather can change fast)
If You’re Going on the Water
- Swimsuit
- Quick-dry towel
- Water shoes or sandals with a strap
- Dry bag (optional – we can provide one on request)
- Spare clothes to change into after
If You’re Going into the Snow
- Insulated waterproof boots
- Thermal base layers
- Gloves and beanie
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Sunglasses (yes, for snow glare)
If You’re Staying Overnight or Camping
- Sleeping bag (some trips provide one – check with us)
- Headlamp or flashlight
- Small personal hygiene kit
- Power bank (some locations are off-grid)
- Book or journal – nights are quiet
What You Don’t Need
- Expensive technical gear
- Printed tickets or confirmation slips
- Big suitcases (especially if you're joining a remote tour)
- Overplanning – we’ve got the logistics
