Then, you will walk the abandoned bobsled track, hearing stories of the Olympic heroes who once sped down its icy course and how it later became a frontline during the siege. The Challenge: What to Expect
This is an easy to moderate hike, focused more on walking and exploration than strenuous climbing. The cable car does all the hard work of the ascent. The walk itself is mostly downhill on forest paths and the gentle gradient of the bobsled track, making it suitable for nearly all fitness levels and a fascinating outing for families.

Your Trebević Hiking Itinerary
A perfectly paced tour of a truly unique place.
Your tour begins at a designated meeting point in Sarajevo, where you will meet your guide for the day.
We will take a spectacular ride on the city's famous cable car, gliding up the mountainside and enjoying ever-expanding views of Sarajevo below.
From the top station, we will begin our walk, soon reaching the top of the abandoned bobsled track. We will walk its entire length, as your guide shares stories of its glorious past and its tragic role during the siege. The graffiti-covered curves make for an incredible open-air art gallery.
After the bobsled track, we will continue our gentle hike down through the pleasant forests of Trebević. The tour concludes as we reach the bottom, leaving you with a profound understanding of this important mountain.
